Kids Need Strength Training Too
Kids sometimes enjoy the benefits of strength training even when they are not aware of the obvious. Kids who spend time in playgrounds where there are multi-level playscapes with monkey bars and such get their fair share of strength training. All that pulling themselves up on the bars or swinging on them helps increase their muscles and bone density. Just watch how children jump from one apparatus to another. Watch them climb with relative easy as they move and use their own body weight with these types of activities.
These types of activities help a child gain better muscle strength and overall endurance. Exercise promotes healthy bone development and increases your child metabolism. Exercise helps a child maintain a healthy weight and also gives the child a better mental outlook. Exercise keeps a child’s mood brighter and their confidence level up. And with childhood obesity on the rise, exercise is one way to combat this unwanted trend in our society. So parents take your children to the park and watch them move naturally swinging and jumping and of course having fun along the way. The best part is that all this is free and accessible. And while you are at it why not join your child in the fun.
