Consider Experimenting with Truck & SUV Tents
One of the newest and increasingly popular camping items on the market in recent years has been Truck & SUV Tents. These are tents that you attach to the end of your SUV or truck, expanding the space these vehicles naturally afford into a more expansive tent area to sleep in. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but some are capable of sleeping up to four adults. One of the great advantages of these tents is that you will not have to worry about finding a suitable camping site, since your SUV trunk or truck tailgate literally becomes your camping ground.
You also won’t have to worry about the safety of your vehicle when camping, since you will have the car with you at night. But probably the best advantage of these tent setups is that they also let you take advantage of your vehicles power system. You can run your tent lights, stereo, maybe even a small TV or VCR off of your vehicles battery. Just be sure not to run the battery down completely because you are enjoying yourself too much in your truck tent.
