Singing software has been around for years and the envy of professional teachers for decades. Until recently the cost for singing software required a combination of high end recording gear that was beyond the fiscal reach of most singing studios. In recent years, singing software has become affordable so that teachers around the world can use it in their studios with vocal students. The results have proven to be astounding with teachers using the software with most of their students. Some students naturally have great pitch and may not benefit. But, the vast majority of vocal students have significant pitch problems and singing software helps.

Voice software for singing is effective because the teacher can show the student in literal graphic terms the problems with their pitch. In the past, a voice teacher could listen to the student and make notes about problem areas in a phrase or song. Now, both the teach and student and view the graph in real time, or after a performance and analyze the pitch data with confidence. Historically, pitch issues have been a sensitive area for students and teachers often avoided working with students on pitch issues because the stigma could be highly demotivating. With objective voice software for singing, the stigma is diminished and the pitch issues can be addressed directly.
