A Small Juniper Bonsai Tree Fits Anywhere

Some outdoor bonsai trees take up a lot of room—even though they’re bonsai, they can still require a good amount of growing space. However, a Small Juniper Bonsai Tree, or the juniper procumbens nana, is a very nice dwarf evergreen juniper that doesn’t need much room at all. Hailing from Japan, this small juniper is often grown in the simple, cascading style, growing up and then down the side of a tall, narrow pot. It’s attractive, tolerant, and quite hardy, making it a great gift for anyone.

When growing your small Juniper bonsai, you do need to keep any eye out for fungus. If you start seeing fungi growing up the side of your bonsai or on the ground around its roots, you’ve got to quickly deal with it. You want to be sure to use only organic fungicides at first. Chemicals can potentially harm your bonsai, especially some of the harsher ones. Before selecting a fungicide, you have to know what parts of your bonsai are infected. There are different solutions for the leaves, mildew, root rot, and seed treatment. If you’ve got fungi growing in various places, you may need to combine several different types of fungicide treatments to completely get rid of your infestation.
