A Little Bit of Everything

A Lifetime Of Exercise Means A Lifetime Of Being Motivated

Staying motivated to exercise doesn’t come easy for most Americans. Just look at the shelves of a bookstore to see all the books about diet and exercise. Diet only books are more popular for sure and they keep writing them. Diet book publishers know how difficult Americans have it staying focused and motivated for anything that evolves a long commitment. It’s easy to do something in a shorter period than to sustain it for longer stretches. Exercise is no exception.

People like trends. If a friend claims that a new workout program resulting in losing a few inches off her hips and two dresses down most would want to know the details fast. Success breeds at least in the short term Eventually some of these fitness plans run their course and fade or maybe it wasn’t the plan’s fault. Most exercisers have good intentions to follow a plan and do whatever it takes to see it through to the bitter end. Thus lies the mistake. Staying healthy through exercise is not just something you do for a number of weeks like the book says, but rather exercise is a lifetime commitment which means staying motivated twenty-four seven. Nobody said it would be easy. Making a lifestyle change is hard, but worth it all the same.
